Bio

Jun Bum Shin joined, an assistant professor of graphic design in the School of Arts and Communication, the faculty in 2015 at Oregon State University after four years in a similar role at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., and three years as a graduate teaching assistant at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.

He holds Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Visual Communications Design from Purdue and also studied at the Korean Institute of Design Promotion in Korea and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He’s an award-winning artist and designer whose scholarly publications have focused on designing and directing professional journals.
